Her figure recalls the spring when she exchanged poems and paintings with her lover, but she is also saturated with the loneliness of autumn, just like in the poem by Naran Seitoku, “Life is just a first glance, why does the autumn wind and the sad paintings of the fan affect me?

The figure’s delicate shape expresses the scene of the classical poem. The red robe enhances her graceful silhouette, and the thin silk fan hides the fireflies dancing on the paper. Her eyes are cast down, and her hidden feelings are revealed; she picks up her brush but cannot put them into words, and her emotions simply flow quietly.
