From Evolution to Revolution: The Halcyon Era Wing sets a new standard for buoyancy control introducing a new generation of wings.
The ERA strengthens Halcyon’s reputation of over 30 years for quality and technological innovation, while offering several key differences from traditional wing designs.
You can use Halcyon’s interactive >Custom Colour Wing Configurator to design and view your unique Halcyon Custom Colour Eclipse Wing. Click the CUSTOMISE link under the product images, then make your design. As this is manufactured exclusively for you, the estimated production time is 7 to 9 weeks.
There are key differences that set the Halcyon ERA wing apart from the others:
The most notable feature is a new bladder and outer shell geometry. The ERA’s “revolutionary shape” marks a departure from the traditional, long, narrow profile of the Eclipse. The new bladder geometry is specifically engineered for better air distribution and trim control. This design aims to distribute air more efficiently, especially in the lower part of the wing.
The ERA wing features four zippered weight pockets built directly into the outer shell. The ERA’s integrated pockets provide a more streamlined and “built-in” solution for trim weights. Each pocket can hold up to 1kg (2.2lbs).
The wing features dual hose openings, a design proven in Halcyon’s double-tank system The Legend. This helps keep hoses and accessories clean and neat, preventing tangles or snags.
A new low-profile elbow on the inflator hose fits snugly against the tank. This creates more space for the diver’s head and reduces strain on the corrugated hose fitting, resulting in a more comfortable and streamlined profile.
The ERA wing is available in two lift capacities: 30 lbs and 40 lbs, catering to different diving configurations and requirements.
