Itachi Uchiwa was a member of the Anbu from the famous Uchiwa clan of Konoha village. He killed his clan members in what would later be known as the Uchiwa Clan Massacre and deserted his village, becoming an S-rank desert ninja (Nukenin) and a member of the Akatsuki who became partners with Kisame Hoshigaki.
