Osamu Dazai is a member of the Armed Detective Agency and was once a leader of the Port Mafia.

Dazai is generally called lazy; in fact, Kunikida often scolds him for being unproductive and laid-back. Despite this, he has shown a sharp mind, deducing all situations, even the most improbable, almost at the same level as Ranpo. Most of the time, he acts as the strategist for the Armed Detectives, as Ranpo is too capricious to take on that role.

He thought he could fill this void and find a valid reason through crime and war, but his friend Oda convinced him to choose the right side, which led to his joining the armed detectives.

The Decay of a Man is Dazai’s power, allowing him to nullify other powers by touching them. Therefore, his ability relies solely on contact.

For this reason, Dazai needs a standard procedure or medical operation every time he injures himself, unlike his fellow members of the Armed Detective Agency, who are generally healed by Yosano using her power.
