Akaza is a major antagonist in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a demon affiliated with the Twelve Kizuki, holding the position of highest rank three. More than a century ago, Akaza was a human by the name of Hakujibefore he was turned into a demon personally by Muzan Kibutsuji. Akaza is a strong, stubborn and impulsive demon who loves to fight, especially against strong demon slayers. He despised anyone he deemed weak, but sincerely respected those who were strong in his eyes, regardless of race. Once he met someone he deemed strong, he demanded to know their name, and would not stop until he found out; he remembered all the names he committed to memory as a tribute to their strength
