The Ammonite System is modular

Due to the modular design concept, you can configure your umbilical light set according to your needs.

All Ammonite umbilical lights, cables, standard batteries and heating batteries are equipped with the same chinch-type connector. So when one of the parts wears out, or you would want to upgrade it, there are no obstacles.

Modularity also affects the convenience of use and safety. For example, you can change the broken cable for a new one on the diving spot without sending it to the service centre.

Ammonite Solaris NextGen Light Head burn times

Ammonite System Solaris NextGen light head burn times vary depending on the battery you will be using and the power setting. The chart below is based on the 9, 10, 14 and 24Ah battery sets that can be purchased with the light head all-inclusive in theAmmonite Solaris LightKit.

The Solaris features three light levels: BOOST, OPERATIONAL and BACK-UP to preserve battery and adjust brightness levels to eliminate backscatter in murky waters.

As mentioned, the light’s burn time will depend on the battery used, its health (charge and discharge cycles), ambient temperature, and the brightness level selected.

Solaris burn times

Solaris NextGen is durable and compact

The Ammonite Solaris NextGen Light Head is built from hard anodised marine aluminium, making it resistant to corrosion, knocks and scratches and depth rated to 200m.

Easy to operate switch knob is made of lightweight but very tough and resistant to environmental conditions polymer (Delrin). The 6mm front glass is made of highly resistant tempered glass.

While it is exceptionally durable, it weighs only 340g, making it easy to hold by hand or with one of the Ammonite System Goodman handles, providing you with plenty of flexibility. The light head measures 117mm in length and 61mm in diameter.

Take Me Home mode

The inner microchip system signals a low battery level with a strobe flash. When drained, the battery automatically switches to the Take me home mode (light output at 20% light intensity).

The “Take Me Home” mode serves as a backup option to which Ammonite umbilical lights switch when the battery runs low. The light will continue to function for at least an hour or longer, depending on the type of light and battery used. It will operate solely in “Take Me Home” mode until the battery is recharged.
