Monkey D. Luffy, also known as “Mugiwara,” is the main protagonist of the anime and manga One Piece.
He is the founder and captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, now considered the crew of the Fifth Emperor. Luffy even rivals the other Emperors in power, who are seen as the strongest pirates in the world of One Piece.
Born in Fuchsia Village, Luffy accidentally ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi at the age of 7, which turned his body into rubber, allowing him to develop techniques like Gear 2nd, Gear 3, Gear 4, and finally Gear 5.
Gear 5th, Luffy’s latest transformation, reveals the awakening of his Devil Fruit, which turns out to be one of the only known Mythical Zoan types: the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Sun God Nika. To reach this awakening, Luffy died and then came back to life as Joy Boy.
