Guts, furious to find him among the massacred remains of his men, Zodd repels the swordsman, throwing the corpses of two Raiders at him with a single sword strike. He then advances toward Guts, complimenting his swordsmanship, before they both begin exchanging blows. After gambling his life on a single strike, Guts manages to slice off the upper half of Zodd’s sword, cutting the right shoulder of the apostle. The rest of the battle is even more epic!
