Kafka Hibino also known as Kaiju No. 8 is the main protagonist of the anime series Kaiju No. 8. He is an officer in the Defense Forces and a former worker at the Professional Kaiju Cleaning Company Monster Sweeper Inc who gained the ability to transform into a humanoid identified Kaiju after a kaiju managed to enter his body. He was previously a member of the Third Division, but was recently transferred to the First Division.

When out of control, certain characteristics of the Kaiju form become more pronounced. Elongated horns, more prominent dorsal plates, mouth opening beyond the skull-shaped mask, and eyes turning entirely cyan (with no pupils or clearly defined beginning or end to the sclera).
